I did not spend pretty much all of last night cackling over a cache of Ao no Exorcist doujinshi and you can prove nothing. Except for the fact that Omega 2D draws the most ridiculously badass Yukio ... and the most Rian-like Rin I have ever seen.

Also, according to [livejournal.com profile] moumusu, he acts very Rianlike as well in some of these doujin as well. Doomed, doomed, doomed.

Ahhh I need to perform some repairs on my Ed-coat. There are a few small tears and the Flamel is starting to come loose. Maybe I'll make a new one, out of heavier, nicer material ... an actual coat and not a cosplay item. It's been so long, I hope I still have the pattern. (I could make the winter coat! With the white fur. >3> Yes, I will honestly wear something like that out I don't care it's a coat.)

I was extraordinarily shocked, Supernatural last night DID NOT DISAPPOINT ME. I would even venture that it moved into the territory of "good!" Which was good, because I was kinda 'meh' on Grimm. It has potential, but it wasn't really stand-out. Except the fact that the main character was named Nick, and he is gonna team up with a Big-Bad-Wolf type. (Nick and Kennichi just gave me a Look. I was like, look, if a character named Takeo turns up then we'll call someone, okay?)

Wow it is SUNNY. Thank god, it's been so grey and gloomy lately.

It is doubtful I'll get anything written today. Tomorrow and Monday are my last two days off and on my honor I will try to get SOMETHING out. If my grand total for vacation is just a handful of words I will be very disappointed in myself.

Day 19- What is your overall favorite moment in the series?

Man, I have been thinking about this since yesterday. Mostly because I can't narrow it down to one particular moment. There are points that I squee like a pathetic fangirl and do the wavy arm thing. I feel like a bad fan because this meme is like NAME THIS PARTICULAR THING AND THAT PARTICULAR THING and I want to go NO I LOVE IT ALL SHUT UP.

The Remaining Days )

Today is a day for Hallowe'en activities! I still need to do a Hallowe'en pic or fic. (No, the evil mutant chimera pumpkin doesn't count, that's more of an autumn thing anyway.) Nor does the zombie fic count. Maybe I'll write another 'Sou Halloween bash. That was fun, although Sariel got a little drunk on punch and was "stabbing" everyone with a fork. Roy had to take it away. :

Man, that episode was dirty pool.

Although I have to say my overall impression ... was sadly a resounding 'meh.' I'm not OMG excited for this show like I was once; I still love the characters and the idea of it, but the actual show I can take or leave. If anything, it feels like reading semi-decent fanfic. Interesting, but not the show at all. I don't feel that is entirely Sera Gamble's fault as I was starting to get that reading from about the halfway point of Season 5.

It saddens me that I am currently more invested in The Vampire Diaries - which is a show I picked up just because of middle school nostalgia. It's holding my attention more because it has a LOT of ongoing plotlines, a lot of characters - and while there is Fail and manpain and what have you it's a lot easier to ignore things that I do't like and sweep them under the rug because a different plot will come along in thirty seconds.

So, in conclusion: sadness. Not for the episode itself but for what the show was once. I knew it was gonna go down in flames, the CW isn't going to let it end on a high note, it's just going to drag its limp carcass across the finish line and then die of exhaustion.

Spoilery? )

I liked it. I was not HUGELY surprised, although a few twists caught me off guard. But I am also not salivating for the next season? I dunno, I am... zen. I should do a rewatch of the first five seasons before the anime comes out on bluray. I should WATCH the rest of the anime, lol.

OH WELL. TO UNPACKING.

I FINISHED ALL MY UPLOADING ON THE CROSSROADS POST! Only four days later, haha. Let's see, I uploaded, oh - 387 individual links this particular go-round. I feel like I deserve a medal.

Supernatural is full of chewy angel angst, I adore it. (Protip: Don't let your angels back-seat watch a show about other angels. Because Sariel is always cranky. Jeez, Roy, go calm your boyfriend down.) Sigh. So upset about the finale, though. I'll get to see it! Just delayed, argh. I can tell they're totally pandering to the shippers now but ... I find myself strangely not caring. It amuses the shit out of me, it's kind of like watching a live-action fanfic or something.

Anyway, time to play some Aion~.

I'm sorry I'm not going to shut up about this for a while.

The animeanime.jp website reports that the anime will be a 22-episode season that will cover the storyline of the live-action version's first two seasons. The first volume will ship on January 12 with the first two episodes. On February 2, the "Box 1" set will ship with episodes 3 to 12. On April 6, the "Box 2" set will ship with episodes 13 to 22. (There will be a different release schedule for the rental version of the project.)

The anime project will not only remake the best episodes from the live-action version, but also depict original episodes not seen in the live-action version. Those original episodes will include prologues of the Winchester brothers' childhood, anime-only enemies, and episodes featuring secondary characters from the live-action version.

Supernatural creator Eric Kripke is credited as the anime project's creator, and MADHOUSE co-founder Masao Maruyama is serving as executive producer. Naoya Takayama (Night Head, Liar Game) is supervising the series' scripts, and Takahiro Yoshimatsu (Trigun) is designing the characters. Source: ANN

WELL HOLY SHITBALLS )

Just, seriously, what. I mean, is this the universe's way of saying, "I'm sorry FMA is ending, here, have a Supernatural anime!" Because, grife.

God, I wonder what seiyuu will be attached. AHHHHHH.

... I did not get any sleep last night. This is related to the SPN finale only tangentially, but I laid in bed awake until THREE A.M. And then Pernelle decided that it would be a wonderful idea to sit on my face at approximately FOUR A.M. Then at around five she pulled down my Kenshin wall scroll onto my head for the third time in a week and a half, so I flung her out of the room and shut the door.

Conclusion: I have had no sleep and I need to leave for work in an hour. Diet be damned, I need Starbucks today or I WILL DIE.

I actually had a dream in the hour or two I actually got of sleep last night, and it was about Robert Pattison and Kristen Stewart getting hit by a truck. It was, it was beautiful although I am rightly confused as to how the hell epic flailing at Supernatural turned into "let's hit the actors Catie dislikes with truck" in unconscious brain-times.

The more I settle on it, the more that this episode reminds me of the last episode of the first FMA anime. Although that episode was imbibed with more hope than this; I as a viewer have hope for the characters in SPN. The reactions I saw last night were largely negative, but whatever. I thrive on the power of AUs. I'll probably post a more coherent reaction post in a bit, I just didn't want this one to be full of epic spoilers.

Annnd now Pernelle is sitting between my arms purring like a motor and playing the "nya, pay attention to me I am a pathetic unloved cat who has NO FOOD and NO WATER and NO CLEAN LITTER BOX despite the fact that you checked it not TWENTY MINUTES AGO LOVE MEEEEEE."

Anyway, welcome to all the new people from the friending meme. I will post a key to my crazy (IE the characters you will see me randomly break into foam about mid-entry) later on, when coherency levels are higher. Or lower, depending on whatever is sending me into a froth.

Also, I have tried to get through the third episode of Hakuouki THREE TIMES. Nnnrgh. On one hand it gives me three things I like; Shinsengumi! Ookawa Tohru! Shinichiro Miki! On the other hand, it is based on a dating sim! I want to hit the girl who is dressed like Kenshin the face with a shoe! To my credit though, that's not because a girl and is because how she chooses to act. I have a low tolerance level for Tetsu in the Peacemaker anime ... and god, Hakuouki is making the Shinsengumi fluffy. It raises MY hackles, it raises Kenshin's hackles; I turned off the episode in the middle of the IKEDAYA because the girl was about to go ~save Okita-san OMG~. Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhh.

The only good that would come of watching more of this is that it will likely get the gears turning on my bakamatsu-set FMA AU; because the Roy in that fic (along with the Hughes, for a little while at least) were Shinsengumi.

I do NOT need Hagane to wander in to my musebox again. I've got it down to FOUR ELRICS right now and that's where it's gonna stay. Well, five if you count the mashup!Al, but still. I have it down to a manageable amount. DON'T FUCK THIS UP, BRAIN.

The more I watch of Angel Beats, the more that Sariel is demanding access. Sigh. And now I want to stick Castiel in there too, and that's going to end beautifully because Sariel and Authority in any Form ... just doesn't end well.

...this post turned out long, sorry. TO WORK.

As I still lack suitable SPN plushies, my large Toothless plushie is on hand tonight for me to squeeze and go OH MY GOD WHAT IS HAPPENING IN MY SHOW. (Shaking and crying you guys. Kansas kills me. NO I'VE NOT BEEN ON YOUTUBE WATCHING 'THE ROAD SO FAR' ALL DAY LONG I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT.)

"Is that a grenade?" "What grenade?" OH FIONA NEVER CHANGE WE LOVE YOU. Michael is facepalming. Literally. God where are my downloads of season 3 I gotta get caught up before 4 starts. (SOMETHING HAS TO DISTRACT ME ONCE SUPERNATURAL'S SEASON IS OVER, and you ALL know how I'm going to die over FMA for the next two months.)

Incidentally, and on an entirely unrelated note, I had a dream about John Winchester chaperoning an elementary school field trip. I think it was Sam's. Yes, that went about as well as you're imagining right now.
