Soooo yesterday I finally watched the second Bleach movie! :D :D :D (I'd only been waiting for it since December, nnngh)

So, uh. It kinda reminded me of that whole bit in FMA where Ed and Al run away from the military 'cause Al got turned into the Philosopher's Stone and they were determined that they were going to Handle Everything Themselves. Then they get chased down and get sense thumped into them.

Thus, Hitsugaya = honorary Elric.

How far in the series is the second movie set? I watched the first one a few months ago, but I'm still in the Bount arc -- that is, even though the OP is great, the Bount arc sucks, so I'm watching Soul Eater instead.

You can really completely skip over the Bount arc, because it is ridiculous. (It ends at 107 or so.) It's currently in ANOTHER filler which is just as silly, but it's epic trainwreck and I love it.

Ahem.

I'd assume the movie's set outside of the timeline, period, because there are conflicts in it reminiscent of the Kenshin movie. Zangetsu is present instead of Shiro!Ichigo yet he has his hollow mask, for instance.
