You can really completely skip over the Bount arc, because it is ridiculous. (It ends at 107 or so.) It's currently in ANOTHER filler which is just as silly, but it's epic trainwreck and I love it.

I'd assume the movie's set outside of the timeline, period, because there are conflicts in it reminiscent of the Kenshin movie. Zangetsu is present instead of Shiro!Ichigo yet he has his hollow mask, for instance.
