Gas has gone up .40$ a gallon in the past two weeks.

I can't afford to go visit my parents this weekend, because I do not have the money for gas. I can't afford to go to work next week because I do not have the money for gas.

I have not bought groceries this week.

I thought that getting a better-paying job that is generally better for me than Wal-mart would help me get out of the hole. Boy, was I ever wrong.

My Dad can't help but make the comment just when I finally get a car, the gas prices are ridiculous and are expected to get worse. Oh, now is the time to ride a bus. Thanks Dad.
You commute to work don't you? Is there a bus service that runs nearby for you? You can maybe park your car halfway in a Park/Ride and take the bus the rest of the way.

Nope, no bus services at all. There's one that runs in Lexington proper, but it's literally two miles from my job to the highway, not worth it to park and wait for a bus the rest of the way.

I'm going to *move* to Lexington once I can get out of my lease and that will ease the burden considerably. I just have to make it to that point. .___.;;

I have ever intention of walking to and from work now that I don't have to drive all over creation to take Lily to someone's house in order for them to take her to school.

I'm especially glad because now gas has jumped up to $3.75 and there is lots of talk over going above $4.00 by summer.

....we are not that far from summer as it is.

On that note, thank goodness I only work at the most 5 or so blocks from work. (Even if they are longer than your standard issue blocks.)
