Is the first one good? I haven't watched it because I really love the TV show's Kyoto arc as it is, so I know I'll be judging it a lot.

It's better than Seisouhen (not that that says much); but it's retold from Misao's point of view so there's a lot you miss out on.

The animation is pretty, though.

(I am just overly excited because, first new Kenshin animation in ten friggin years, if we want to acknowledge Seisouhen's existence in the first place.)
