Ah, June is upon us. Summer blockbuster season is in full swing, I have designs on seeing Snow White & The Huntsman either later today or tomorrow, and I still have MIB3 to see as well. Of course, over the past week I have taken my in-theater viewing count for The Avengers to five - not yet a record for me, I need to see it one more time for that. (I adore that movie probably far more than is healthy, but I view the fandom from a distance. So far.)

Made it back safely from Chicago aboard the Megabus; that was a fun trip. Pictures and/or video may be forthcoming, that depends on how lazy I am. Did both Hancock and Willis (neé Sears) Towers, as well as the Shedd Aquarium and the Field Museum - plus Navy Pier the last night we were there. There is so much to DO in that city, it's so much fun. I would love living in a big city like that; even if just for a little while to get a taste of the experience. But on the other hand, I like where I am at plenty, so.

I got just one "new" souvenir - a black statue of the ibis-headed god Thoth; who is roughly the Egyptian equivalent to Hermes; and whose combined attributes gave us Hermes Trismegistus, author of the Tabula Smaragdina; the Emerald Tablet, which is the root and basis of modern alchemy.

As a direct result of having been gone for a week, no new fanart or fanfic to post; and the anime I had loaded my netbook with would not play due to the fact that my netbook is a bit on the crap-shoot side of things. So I have a lot of anime to catch up on, and some writing to do. My werewolf bigbang will be posted on Friday, look forward to some Roy/Ed one-shot goodness there. (Honest to god. One-shot. Not nightbreed'verse, just... you'll see, I suppose.)

I need to get back in the habit of posting my marathon stats; but I do not feel like it today. Stuff to do later; this weekend is for vegging as the real world enters the equation again on Monday.
