Zoning out as I always do on a Sunday evening, watching the Gintama movie that I hadn't gotten around to yet, and the phone rings. It's my dad's ringtone - notable in that it's not a ring tone, it's the alert from The Prisoner (Now leaving northern perimeter, number Six, repeat-) and that means I usually don't hear it go off. Both of my parent's ringtones are like that, now I think about it. Anyway.
Now, I should pause to say that my father rarely calls me. Usually messages are funneled through my mom, unless it's something serious. In fact, I wager the last time my dad called me was this summer when they got into that car wreck. I call him, or my mom calls me, or we e-mail.
All that being said, my father called me from Barnes & Noble on the Levee to tell me they have the third set of Bond blu-ray on sale for half off, but that means he's going to have a duplicate of Goldfinger and do I want the double?
I love that I get first dibs on the Bond movies because I'm the oldest. I also love that I've not had to buy a single Bond blu-ray for myself yet. In fact, I've only bought the Craig movies on my own, everything else I just have to wait for the newest and shiniest set to come out and then I get the cast-offs, muhaha.
And it's Goldfinger. Fuck yeah!
I also think my father has finally been brainwashed by all the CG movies my mother drags him to, hah, because he actually voluntarily described Rio to me as "cute." This amuses me far more than it should, my dad usually sleeps through those movies.
Okay, back to Gintama! Then to catch up on Gosick and check out Hyogemono before I jump back into the Inuyasha madness. MADNESS I TELL YOU. Okay, look, I don't have any icons yet. When dog-boy starts showing up in icons THAT'S when you need to worry.

That aside, Rio was cute. I wouldn't advise anyone to spend more than 6 dollars to see it, but it's well-animated and cute enough that if you've got a cheap theater nearby and some time to waste, then it's not the worst thing you can see.
