Wow this highlights the age difference between Ed and Roy. On one hand I feel like I should be skeeved. On the other hand I am reminded that the age difference between Ed and Roy is the SAME as the age difference between Kenshin and Kaoru. On the third hand in two of my AUs I minimize the age gap anyway for other reasons entirely, which is hilarious in its own way. On the fourth hand, I DON'T HAVE THIS MANY HANDS.

How amazing is it that the original FMA anime is also on tonight? There's no way on god's green earth I'm staying up until 4am to watch it but that's just special in all the right ways. I need to rewatch that, but I swore I wouldn't until Brotherhood is over because I miss Ookawa as Roy and while I've gotten used to Shinichiro Miki he's still not MY Roy. Although he'd make a good mashup!Roy, lol. I wonder who'd be a good voice for mashup!Ed? Because as much as I love Paku Romi, I don't think she's the right fit for mashup!Ed. I HAVE TO PONDER THIS A LOT NOW.

...is it? I thought Roy was 29 at the start of the series when Edward was twelve. Isn't it 28 to 17 for Kenshin and Kaoru? /confused

No, Roy's 29 when Ed is 15; Mustang was born in 1885. It's not exactly the same age difference, but it is similar. (When RK starts Kenshin is 29 if it's 11 Meiji. Since he was born in 1849.)
