My father is such a ridiculous fanboy that it's kind of adorable. He has become a fan of NCIS because my mother loves the show and it amuses me. You see, he got a NCIS ball cap from Scarefest a few weeks back. He was SO PROUD of it. Also, apparently everyone ever watches NCIS too because even my little cousins knew it and asked him where he got his hat. So my father has been convincing my cousins that Ziva gave him the hat.

Man, I want caterpillar!Ed weather to get here. I am ready for cold weather because it is TOO DAMN HOT in the apartment. I could not sleep last night because of how hot is was, I woke up every forty-five minutes or so and I feel like shiiiiiiiiiit.

Day 4- Did you read the manga? What did you think?

Yes and no. I got frustrated with the manga often, and probably a year after the first anime ended, I ... didn't so much stop reading the manga as I started using the raw chapters as "practice" for my crappy Japanese reading skills. I would skim the raws every month when they were released but I never got around to reading the scanlations. So I had an idea of what was going on but not really sure. I always figured I would read the manga as the English translation was released - but then there was that debacle with the translation of Xerxes and Viz made me mad.

I finally got sick of it all and started reading the manga back in 2009 ... and then Brotherhood happened so I went back to just the raws so I could enjoy Brotherhood more. So, in conclusion ... Catie has the attention span of a flea. I think my main dissatisfaction was with the pacing of each chapter ... without fail all the other manga I've fallen in love with have been weekly series, so it's a change-up with a monthly release. It doesn't bother me so much when reading a chunk of chapters, but a single chapter, once a month, just wasn't enough.
