Went and saw War of the Worlds. Yay for senseless violence and the systematic extermination of the human race! That, and Dakota Fanning screaming a lot.

I was noticing more camera work and special effects than the actual story. Like the scene where they're first in the van, the camera fully circles the van almost twice, and it's one contiunous shot. Very, very nicely done.

I wish my computer didn't suck. Maybe then it would run X-Wing. If we still had the original instruction manuals for the first version of the games, I could play them on the ancient computer, but it won't let me log in to it. *swears a lot* I need a new computer. DAMN IT I WANT TO BLOW THINGS UP.

Along that same vein, I realized that I imagine Bror Jace looking like Val Kilmer. >.> That makes Corran Horn Tom Cruise, and it makes my brain take a vacation.
