President Josiah Bartlet: "We hold these truths to be self-evident," they said, "that all men are created equal." Strange as it may seem, that was the first time in history that anyone had ever bothered to write that down. Decisions are made by those who show up.
Well, writer's block just hit. Hard. Painfully hard. Now, I have no problem with what's happening later in the story, I'm working a lot of that out. It's just the point in chapter five I stalled out on. Grrr, pisses me off. The problem with this story is that there are a lot of strong secondary characters ... a lot. Most haven't even been introduced yet. And I don't want to keep throwing new characters in this early, but I have to. I am dropping Falco and the Fallen subplot out already because I have a host of other things to deal with and I'm not involving angels. At all. Besides, angels in a demon-world? Yeah, kinda bizarre. I just dropped Rel in, and Caird comes in not too far behind Rel. XP Stupid cat. I love Caird to pieces because he's a lovable doofus, but he has to do a lot of bad things for the story to progress.
But I just introduced Rel. There needs to be a span of time before Caird stumbles in to the party. Cavan's pissed enough that he's got Tala tagging along, and now that she's... well, nonresponsive is the best term for it, he's also saddled with Rel. Who seems just as incompetent. Poor Cavan, I think he's going to burst a blood vessel. At least when Caird shows up there's someone he can cuff anytime he says something stupid. Oh boy, does Caird take his lumps, too.
Crap! The unicorns! *writes notes in margin* Stupid Fiore and her stupid guard... heeheehee. Oh, I love my story sometimes. *has a new idea and scurries off* So much for that block!
