So, I saw Spider-man 2 last night. It was okay. Well, I really didn't like it that much, the first half of the movie made me want to strangle myself. Once the big battles started up the movie got marginally better. I don't know, the movie just didn't suit my tastes. This probably has to do with the fact that I'm not too fond of Tobey Maguire -- build-wise, he makes a perfect Spider-man, but to me his voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard. This, oddly, didn't bother me in the first movie.

The CGI in this film was spectacular. The limbs had such a personality. The obvious set-ups for sequels were rather annoying. (Lizard, Venom and/or Green Goblin/Hobgoblin(I KNOW in the comics Hobgoblin is someone entirely different, but I wouldn't put it past Hollywood to change HIM to Hobgoblin to keep the two characters seperate).)

I probably won't see it again until it comes out on DVD. Even then, meh. Maybe if _I_ don't pay for it.

There was a new Catwoman trailer on Spidey, though. It actually made the film look slightly interesting, although the mere sight of Halle Berry is start to trigger my gag reflex.

Che, I'm tired. Didn't sleep at all, it was hot and humid last night. They put out some new action figures in the toy department (I'm always wandering over there, it's located next to the Garden Center), so I rifled through the Batman figures. Lo and behold! New Robin action figure! My life is a shiney place again. =D It's very obviously Tim, too, regular costume. Maybe tomorrow I'll dig out the digital camera and take pictures of all the different Robin figures I have.

Comic book store today! XD XD XD

So. Dub of Gravitation.

Um. Interesting?

Slightly terrified by Shuichi's voice.

Is it wrong that I'm terrified because he sounds, well, like a guy? The only other thing this guy is listed for is Gokudo. Oh, that amuses me greatly. XD Well, off to actually watch more than a few minutes of the dub.

Well, that was amusing. I just checked my e-mail, and got a strange one, the subject read "ChatArea.com" and I almost straight-out deleted it, but something made me click on it. It was from somebody on a Redwall chat board asking about my story "Way of the Warrior."

Wow. Talk about something I hadn't touched in a while.

Got me to thinking (always a dangerous thing), and I realized how badly that story had stalled. The original Way of the Warrior story I actually completed, but trust me, it's horrifically unreadable -- I wrote it in the seventh grade. However, I liked some of the characters and resalvaged them in late 2000, wrote out a general plotline that involved a few things rarely seen in Redwall -- a northern kingdom, a bit of magic here and there, and for kicks the corrupted ancient band of knights. The plot was pretty decent but I fumbled once again in the early stages with finding a good place to start it, so I left it alone and progressed to other things.

And now, here I am thinking about it and pondering on it because someone expressed interest in the story ... a little prologue I had posted, barely 700 words, and someone thought enough of it to send me an e-mail.

Hmmm.

((Incidently, the original prologue is here, for those interested. I'm not fond of it at all, and it is in need of heavy revision, if I don't just trash it outright. I do, however, like the poem -- and that is one of the few things I salvaged from the original version of the story. God, is that poem old. It needs tightening up, too. GAH, more work...))
