Not as sick today, yay!

Crave subs. Mmrgh. Things that one should not talk about at three in the morning: unattainable, hot food.

Leg still hates me. Dunno why. Haven't been overly active lately. Jogged a bit from class to class on Monday, but did not pull anything. Leg kinda hurt before that, probably aggravated it. Leg collasped on me going up stairs in Wallace. Ow pain. x_x Dunno why left leg hates me so much. Stupid pain. I promise I haven't tried to raise the dead. At least, I haven't tried to raise the dead in at least a year. I think. Unless I wasn't aware of raising the dead. Which is always possible. Oh well. No equivalent trade here. Receiving pain, got nothing.

Zazzle is my shiney new friend. Working on a poster because of it. Design actually came out pretty neat in pencil, let's see how badly I will butcher it when I ink it soon. Yay, crappy inking skills! I will post a thumbnail here, because I am not going to post this picture on DeviantArt.

I owe people art trades, but am uninspired at the moment. Demonscape characters are gnawing on my brain. Them, and Kenshin. Dunno why Kenshin. Something about angst. But I don't write angst!Kenshin. Don't bother with it. There are enough angst!Kenshin fics on the net that even if every person attending this university read 100 each, it wouldn't make a dent. Other problem is I don't write angst!Kenshin very well. That solves that nicely. Well, that, and I think Cavan and Shrike would eat my head for ignoring them and allowing someone else a slice of the angst pie. They scare me.

Speaking of scarey, there's an eyeless Ed-head staring at me at the moment. How something that is eyeless can stare is not a question I can answer sanely, but it is staring all the same. Saying "finish me, finish me! I need eyes, I need a body, I need YOUR SOUL!"

I am actually learning the kanji this semester, as opposed to just cram-memorizing them and still failing like I did last time. I suppose that is a good thing.

Speaking of Japanese, I discovered that someone in the class is a huge Usagi Yojimbo fan. As in, he's taking the class because of the comic. I have found someone to talk to. ^___^x (Not that I didn't have people in the class to talk to as I already know half of them, but no one around here reads Usagi. Except for roomie. Who I made read them.) It turns out that Usagi is going to be on the new TMNT. See this? This is me squealing with absolute, unbridled joy. I was happy enough with the original appearances on the 80's TMNT, even though they were strange and trippy. But on the newer, anime-styled TMNT? Oh, happy day!

While having this conversation we started on about the ninja clans, Komori, Kumoji (I *think*, don't hold me to that one), and Neko. Kate heard "Neko Ninja" and said "kawaii." Took all of my self-restraint not to stab her with my pencil. Neko Ninja are not kawaii, they are scary and dangerous and backstabbers. I wish there was some way to sic Chizu on Kate, but I know even showing her the Neko Ninja will result in another "kawaii" no matter how gory nor violent they are. *sigh*

Rambling right straight back on to anime, AnimeWorks is dropping some DVD prices to $9.95. That is much yayness. Twin Signal is among one of those dropping in price, I encourage people to go out and buy it. Signal is still one of my all-time favorite characters and I'm hoping all the time TokyoPOP will end up with the translating rights for the manga. Also, Shinesman is one of the DVDs with a dropping price as well, so the next time I see it it's mine. "Sheena, get in the glowing green square." Priceless!

The Wolf's Rain soundtrack will be brought over domestically May 11th. I am very amused. I got it for my b-day last year, and it is the sole non-ported anime OST I own that is not bootleg. I will definitely check it out but I don't see any point to buying it unless there is a difference in the track listings. I mean, it's essentially the same CD with an English packaging. I don't need two copies of the same CD, really I don't. But Kiba is on the cover... *sporkstab*

Well, I'm done for now.

Of course, that does not mean I'm finished with this picture, not by a long run. There's a lot in it that I want to fix. The hair is colored horribly, and I need to figure out some way to fix Cavan's head so he doesn't look so strange. But I really like how Tala came out, and overall I'm proud of the pic. So, I'm done for the night.

Well, I'm tired. I haven't been in my room much at all today. There was the ten minutes I took to update LJ at 10-ish this morning, there was the twenty-or-so I spent w/Jonathan and Stevie trying to get my comp to accept new DVD software, there was twenty or so between returning from that with roomie and then going to eat. And that's it. So, from about 7:30 to now, I've spent all of an hour in my room today. o__Ox;
